Occupational therapists can recommend and provide specific equipment, like specialised seating or aids for bathing and dressing, and can also advise you whether a stairlift would suit your needs.

We regularly work with OT's to provide the best stairlift service for our clients. A rental stairlift may be the best solution, depending on the reasons you need a stairlift, your budget and the benefits of having the maintenance and breakdown cover taken care of.

They can also advise and train family members or carers to help you with practical tasks and activities in the home.

You can often get an OT assessment through your local council's social services department or adult social services.

And your local NHS community health services may also provide OT services.
