Mr Finch, who lives in Lewes, Sussex, fractured his ankle out walking and was not able to put any pressure on it for months.

His wife tried to help him get up the stairs to their bedroom and bathroom but they slipped a few times and it was becoming dangerous and impeding Mr Finch’s recovery.
