In 2025, the cost of a new straight stairlift ranges from £2000 to £4000, while a new curved stairlift can cost from £4000 to £6000. Renting a stairlift costs £245 initial payment and then only £10.38 per month.

It is generally more cost effective to hire a rental stairlift as you pay a low cost per month after an inital outlay, and you don't need to pay for any breakdown or maintenance problems. We also remove the stairlift free of charge when you no longer need it.

If you have a limited budget, then renting a stairlift may be the ideal solution for you.

It is also an excellent option if you think you will only need the stairlift for a limited time, or if you want it on a temporary basis, for example if a relative with limited mobility is coming to stay.
