Mr Brierley from Bradford had been suffering from reduced hand dexterity for some time and when he came out of hospital after a back operation he found that he couldn’t operate his existing stairlift properly. “I didn’t feel safe using it,” said Mr Brierley.

When your stairlift arrives at the top of your stairs, you will need to turn (or swivel) your seat around to ensure that you are exiting the stairs safely onto the landing, rather than in a precarious position at the top of your stairs.

With a powered swivel seat, you only need to continue holding the toggle to turn the stairlift.
