Mrs Reeves from Wakefield was about to be sent home from hospital but was unable to get upstairs to bed without a stairlift.
And Mr Reeves told us he could do with a handrail to help him get up the stairs.
There is a door at the bottom of the stairs, so a powered hinged rail straight stairlift seemed the ideal solution. This hinge on the stairlift is automatic so as the stairlift descends the hinged part of the rail automatically folds itself into the living room. And as the stairlift ascends the stairs the hinged rail will fold itself upright.
A hinged rail stairlift is useful in situations where there is an obstruction at the foot of the stairway, or where the protrusion of the foot of the rail could cause a tripping hazard.
The stairlift comes with remote controls for ease of use and is fitted with a powered swivel turn which ensures that the seat will always turn through 90 degrees so it’s much easier to get on and off.
“Thanks to Rental Stairlifts I am now back in my own home and recovering, and my husband finds it much easier to get up the stairs using the rail as well!” said Mrs Reeves.
