The process to install your rental stairlift is pretty simple and straightforward

The next step is the expert stairlift installation: Our Rental Stairlifts engineers will fit your stairlift to your staircase safely and securely.

Finally, we test the stairlift to make sure everything is running smoothly. Our engineers will test your new stairlift thoroughly and show you how it works.

During the stairlift installation, a track is attached to brackets that support the rail. This keeps the stairlift rail elevated away from the stairs.

The brackets are attached to the treads of the stairs with small screws. This ensures that there will be no damage to the banister or walls surrounding the staircase or at the top or the bottom of the stairs. The stairlifts are always installed at a reasonable distance from the wall or banister to prevent any scuffing or scraping.

As the brackets hold the stairlift track above the floor, it should not damage the carpet. The support screws also go through the carpet, so there is no need for the carpet to be lifted and refitted when installing a stair lift.

The support screws are small, so they should not leave visible holes, though there may be some indentation from the weight.

There are many types of stairlift available - some are designed to fit curved staircases, such as a curved stairlift, while others fit traditional straight staircases. There are also stairlifts designed for narrow staircases.

The installation itself is a relatively quick procedure that should only take around four hours. This includes demonstrating how to properly use, clean and maintain the equipment.
